Bay City Overlook Estates Final 3

Overlook Estates is the place for the deep pockets of Bay City to enjoy the views without flashing their money like tinfoil dimes.

All entrances to Overlook Estates, including Harvard Ct., Dartmouth Ct., Oxford Ct. and Princeton Ct., are situated to protect the privacy of anyone entering or exiting the secretive Corona Parking Garage entrance. After all, with the number of cars that enter the garage, there must be something going on that no one in Bay City is privy to.

Surely.

That many cars would never fit in the two-story parking garage.

So, security cameras in Overlook Estates are never aimed at Corona Tower. Corona Tower makes sure of that, and the Bay City Police Department helps anytime they are requested to help the residents of Overlook Estates upgrade their security camera positioning.

Money talks ... and gets things done, and Corona Tower has all the money they need. Deep pockets are only the half of it. Being funded by the U.S. military gives them even deeper sources of easy cash.

Despite the wealth centered in Overlook Estates, anyone can drive through and gawk. Most of the homes are discreetly situated and hardly out there for show. That alone makes them more alluring than ever!

Corona Tower Research Complex Book 6

Garik Shayk's experiences in the underground research center changes as he is shuffled about by his captors.

Garik now spends much of his time in Devon Maye's Apartment, as Devon has been injured, and he needs someone with him.

Much of the rest of the basement complex is now familiar to Garik, from the soundproof training cells, to the natatorium and the climbing wall.

Even the myriad underground "streets" in the city-like residential area known as Corona City is as familiar as the back of Garik's hand.

Prowl awhile. See if you could live in the underground research complex.

Especially after you've had your DNA modified, and you don't dare face the world in the light of day!

Destination Yellowknife Final

Garik Shayk is restrained at the beginning of Book 10, The Russian's Revenge.

He may not be able to fight back, but he can hear perfectly well. He latches onto one word.

Yellowknife.

Where is Yellowknife? Canada, of course, two solid days travel time from the U.S. West Coast.

Garik's first challenge is the metal restraints on his wrists and ankles. Try as he might, he hasn't been able to break free. And they are pressure sensitive, so Dr. Jimenez (and anyone he wishes to tell) knows each time Garik struggles for his freedom.

They have uncovered Garik's weaknesses, and he is locked up tighter than a drum.

The second challenge is Yellowknife. Even if he does manage to get free of his restraints, how can he get there? He needs directions, food, money, and ... oh, yes, wheels ... or wings. Those would come in very handy ... if only he knew a hybrid with wings who could help him out.

Then there's the Canadian border to cross. Without a passport ... or directions, food, money, or wheels ... it seems his chances of reaching Yellowknife are pretty slim ... that is, unless there happens to be a secret agent somewhere in the Corona Tower basement research facility ... CIA ... MI6 ... CSIS ... ASIS ... BND ... or MOSSAD.

Garik can only keep his eyes open and hope.

Corona Tower and Stamford Suites

Garik Shayk's familiarity with Corona Tower was once a dream.

Now it has become a nightmare he can never escape. Even the finest of jails is still a jail, no matter how nicely decorated.

Garik has climbed to the top, and now all he wants to do is run.

If only he had wings .... but then he's had wishes granted he wishes he could undo.

Garik's first visit to Corona Tower's glass-encased wonders is in Book 1 of The Human-Hybrid Project, Shattered by Glass, when Kevin Lee arranges for Garik and his girlfriend, Marisa Bruni, to meet with Halo Sunchaser for a brief tour. When Sunchaser is pulled away, Gunther Diehl from Stamford Suites continues their tour, and they visit the Stamford Suites Grill and the pool on the Seventh Floor.

Garik returns to the upper floors of the Tower in Book 8, Sunchaser's Gambit, when Weston Rodheimer offters him the passkey to a penthouse suite, one that recently housed Jantzen Hefferly before his disgraced exit from the Tower and the research project.

Floors 8-39 are not referenced in The Human-Hybrid Project, but that doesn't mean they are vacant or unused. Corona Corporation has its fingers in many, many pies, not all of which are entirely aboveboard. And all that computing capability for the gene-splicing technology that makes the research center viable? The mainframes have to be located somewhere.

Explore the upper floors of the Corona Tower and see if it's a place you'd like to call home ... or to work at on the mysterious floors where no one knows just what's behind each closed door.
