Winter is about eleven, thin and blond. He lives in Garik Shayk's apartment building, City View Apartments.

Winter loves to tease Garik, but it's clear it's good-natured. After all, the older boy rides a Street Strider, the jet-assist bike that's the coolest thing in Old Town.

Winter is blond, but his hair is a bright flash that's more white than blond, the reason for his name. He's the most vocal of the wannabe gang of preteens that tries to run the yard around City View.

Winter's two "co-gangsters" are Shrimper and Firestarter.

We first meet Winter in Book 1 of The Human-Hybrid Project, Shattered by Glass.

Firestarter is a small redhead, and he looks deceptively young. Not yet ten, he lives in Garik Shayk's apartment building, City View Apartments.

Firestarter follows anything his two co-conspirators are willing to get into, especially if it involves Garik Shayk. The older boy rides a Street Strider, the jet-assist bike that's the coolest thing in Old Town, and the allure is inescapable.

Firestarter is the one of the wannabe gang of preteens that tries to run the yard around City View who is willing to do anything on a dare,

Firestarter's two "co-gangsters" are Shrimper and Winter.

We first meet Firestarter in Book 1 of The Human-Hybrid Project, Shattered by Glass.

Kevin Lee is the star at Ai Kee!

Kevin won a national championship just the previous year and is being courted for movie roles by Hollywood. He is tempted by the money but can’t bear to break away from his high-energy, tightly tuned lifestyle. Besides, he’s attracted to Callie Fornya, an ex-Olympian employee of the Center, even though he can’t seem to get a date.

Leave it like you found it, cleaner if you can is Kevin's motto. He is often seen outside of Ai Kee! in black turtlenecks. He coaches Halo Sunchaser from Corona Tower. Kevin's connection to Hollywood comes from Boris Lindemann who lives in Corona Tower and hopes to ride Kevin's fame to Hollywood and beyond as the young star makes it big in movies.

We first meet Kevin in Book 1 of The Human-Hybrid Project, Shattered by Glass.

Mrs. Waggoner lives in City View Apartments on the floor above Garik Shayk.

She is the "old dame" of the building and one of Garik's few friends besides Marina, at least in the apartment building.

Mrs. Waggoner keeps an eye on Garik, askes how his aunt, Irina, is doing, and generally provides a grandmotherly influence that's a stabilizing rock in Garik's sometimes volatile world.

If Garik needs help with something that's outside his aunt's skills, it's Mrs. Waggoner he turns to. Whether he thinks of it this way or not, he cares for her and goes out of his way to stay in her good graces.

We first meet Mrs. Waggoner in Book 1 of The Human-Hybrid Project, Shattered by Glass.

Robbie Icardi is fifteen, two years younger than his good friend, Garik.

Robbie also lives in City View Apartments, where Garik and Marisa live. Robbie thinks he is God’s gift to the opposite sex, but he is really a skinny boy the girls like to tease. He keeps his hair perfectly styled and prefers his clothes crisply creased and his shoes polished and spotless, unlike his casually dressed friends.

Garik used to stay over when his aunt had to work late when he was younger. Garik thinks of Robbie as a little brother, and Robbie looks up to the older boy as his role-model, although he doesn't think of it that way. To Robbie, if Garik does something in a certain way, goes a certain place, or likes certain people, then that's Robbie's benchmark.

Needless to say, despite Garik's love of skateboarding, Robbie has never mounted a skateboard, and as he will tell anyone who ribs him about it, he hopes he never does.

We first meet Robbie in Book 1 of The Human-Hybrid Project, Shattered by Glass.
